Down Under to kick things off, Kate Gosselin opened Steve Irwin Day at the Australia Zoo in Sydney earlier today (November 14).

Dressed in a khaki ensemble, the mom of eight was all smiles for the shutterbugs as she attended the event in honor the 340x.

Looking to having a fabulous time, Kate tweeted, “Just finished auctioned luncheon with a bunch of amazing ladies….great company, food, and all for a great cause!! Grateful for another day here (sic).”

This is the second time Kate has visited the zoo, as she and her brood made a previous stop there back in January where they enjoyed a special performance from Irwin’s widow and kids.
